However, in updating the fuzzer, I noted that this case not only didn't work, but paniced in some cases. Here, we both fix the panic, as well as write a new test which ensures we don't break support for such routing in the future. --- diff --git a/lightning/src/routing/router.rs b/lightning/src/routing/router.rs index 56beb2ea0..526d26b56 100644 --- a/lightning/src/routing/router.rs +++ b/lightning/src/routing/router.rs @@ -236,13 +236,12 @@ pub fn get_route(our_node_id: &PublicKey, network: &NetworkGraph, targ let mut total_fee = $starting_fee_msat as u64; let hm_entry = dist.entry(&$src_node_id); let old_entry = hm_entry.or_insert_with(|| { - let node = network.get_nodes().get(&$src_node_id).unwrap(); let mut fee_base_msat = u32::max_value(); let mut fee_proportional_millionths = u32::max_value(); - if let Some(fees) = node.lowest_inbound_channel_fees { + if let Some(fees) = network.get_nodes().get(&$src_node_id).and_then(|node| node.lowest_inbound_channel_fees) { fee_base_msat = fees.base_msat; fee_proportional_millionths = fees.proportional_millionths; - }; + } (u64::max_value(), fee_base_msat, fee_proportional_millionths, @@ -341,21 +340,26 @@ pub fn get_route(our_node_id: &PublicKey, network: &NetworkGraph, targ } for hop in last_hops.iter() { - if first_hops.is_none() || hop.src_node_id != *our_node_id { // first_hop overrules last_hops - if network.get_nodes().get(&hop.src_node_id).is_some() { - if first_hops.is_some() { - if let Some(&(ref first_hop, ref features)) = first_hop_targets.get(&hop.src_node_id) { - // Currently there are no channel-context features defined, so we are a - // bit lazy here.
